At Harborstone Behavioral Health, we believe recovery is strengthened by compassionate care, meaningful relationships, and connection to community. Our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services support individuals and families throughout Elkton and Cecil County who are affected by alcohol or substance use.

We provide a welcoming, respectful, and judgment free environment where individuals can address substance use, strengthen recovery skills, and begin rebuilding their lives.

Our SUD Services Focus On

  • Individualized Recovery Plans: Care built around each person's needs, strengths, circumstances, and recovery goals
  • Counseling & Behavioral Support: Evidence based approaches that address substance use, behavioral patterns, and underlying challenges
  • Relapse Prevention: Identifying triggers, developing coping strategies, and strengthening skills for sustained recovery
  • Mental Health & Wellness: Addressing emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs that may occur alongside substance use
  • Family Support: Helping families better understand recovery and strengthen their ability to support loved ones
  • Community Connection: Connecting individuals with healthcare, recovery resources, employment, housing, social services, and other community supports

Recovery Happens Together

Every recovery journey is different. Harborstone begins by understanding the individual, not simply the substance use. Together, we develop a personalized plan that may include counseling, education, behavioral interventions, recovery skill building, and ongoing support.

We also collaborate with families, healthcare providers, community organizations, and recovery resources throughout Cecil County to build a stronger network of support around each individual.

Our goal is to help people move beyond substance use toward stability, healthier relationships, greater independence, and meaningful participation in their community.
